Ukraine News One: Insurgents threaten Ukraine’s media freedoms – journalists targeted by Kremlin-backed separatists (VIDEO)

 According to Reporters Without Borders local media have become a key target of intimidation and attacks by pro-Russian separatists in east Ukraine with at least ten journalists to date having been forced to leave the region. There have also been several violent raids at local media offices since the start of March when the uprising against the Ukrainian government began, with the aim being to make local print and TV journalists adapt their stories to suit the Kremlin-backed insurgents.
