Clean up on Kyiv’s central square, the Maidan, has begun. Bulldozers pushed the rubble aside and street sweepers started to clean the pavement that has been lined with the tents of protesters since last November.
Earlier this week, Kyiv’s mayor-elect Vitaly Klitschko said it was finally time to clean up the Maidan after the country held elections and accomplished the chief demand of the protesters.
