Kyiv’s Mayor Vitali Klitschko and other protest leaders accepted the award in Poland, which honoured the determination of thousands of protesters who fought for human rights and democracy in Ukraine.
Lech Walesa Award was awarded by Lech Walesa himself; the price is worth $100,000 and has ben handed out annually since 2008.
