NATO calls for end to politicizing granting of MAP to Ukraine

18 November 2008, 15:09 | Interfax-Ukraine
Brussels, November 18 (Interfax-Ukraine) – NATO has called for the issue of granting the NATO Membership Action Plan to Ukraine not to be politicized, NATO Spokesman James Appathurai said at a briefing in Brussels on Tuesday.

He said the NATO Headquarters is aware that the issue on granting the MAP to Ukraine and Georgia is being "substantially politicized."

NATO Headquarters will on December 2-3 host a meeting of the foreign ministers of the alliance member states, at which the first estimation of Ukrainian progress towards receiving the MAP would be given.

Appathurai mentioned, that if the result of the session were positive, it means Ukraine and NATO would receive its NATO membership in the near future.

If the response us negative, than Ukraine and Georgia would never receive NATO membership.

Appathurai again said that at present, it is too early to forecast what the result of the December session will be.

In 2005, it was promised that Ukraine would begin participating in the MAP process in June/2009. Therefore, we still have plenty of time. In the interim, 4 moskal military aircraft have been shot from the skies over Georgia by Ukrainians, 2 more moskal aircraft over Ukrainian territory and 31,956 moskali in and around Chechnya. Time IS on our side... The moskal federation will be destroyed - it\'s inevitable. It\'s unfortunate, but the moskal federation is on it\'s last legs and doesn\'t pose a threat to anyone.

Well, if Germany and France refuse to grant the MAP to Ukraine, then perhaps Ukraine should just shut-off all the pipelines carrying gas from russia to Europe. This would do wonders for the German and French economy. Why not, those pipelines must be upgraded and this would be an excellent time. It would also help keep Gazprom in line too. If russia decides to take military action against Ukraine, then Ukraine should blow up all three pipelines from the russian-Ukraininan border to the Polish-Ukrainian border. It would take russia, germany, and france a heck of a long time to repair them. By then, the economy of russia would suffer considerably, but it would sure destroy germany and france. Go ahead germany and france, be russia\'s patsy!!! I would like to see how well you do then. Elitist sob\'s!!!
