The institute carried out the second stage of a survey November 5 through November 10. The data obtained demonstrated changes in consumption patterns of Ukrainians compared to October 2008, when the first stage of the study was completed. The second stage was conducted via phone interviews with 1,000 respondents from all Ukrainian regional centers, as well as in the cities of Kyiv and Sevastopol. The poll's margin of error is 3.4 percent.
According to the survey, 23.8 percent of those polled have started being more economical about their expenditures, while 9.6 percent of Ukrainians faced a delay in the payment of their wages and even a fall in them.
The number of those who believe they are well off fell from 75.2 percent in October to 68.2 percent in November, while the number of those who said they make ends meet rose from 17.5 percent in October to 24.6% in November
