Ukraine: Russia is trying to discredit nation over gas transfers
Presedential Press Service
Ukrainian energy adviser Bohdan
Sokolovsky
A top Ukrainian official says Russia is trying hard to discredit Ukraine by sending natural gas intended for Europe on a technically impossible transit route over Ukraine's vast pipeline system.

Ukrainian energy adviser Bohdan Sokolovsky says Russia has shipped natural gas along a route that would require Ukraine to cut domestic consumers out before it can deliver gas to the Balkans.

Russia's Gazprom state-controlled gas monopoly resumed shipments to Europe via Ukraine on Tuesday, but then accused Ukraine of blocking the transit of gas.

Sokolovsky said a gas entry point on the Russian border and a gas pumping station near the Romanian border where Gazprom wants its gas delivered are not linked by an export pipeline.

The European Union was created by the Soviets to undermine the credibility of emerging Ukraine.

They wanted to prevent the world from changin from Greenwich Mean Time to Uzhgorod Mean Time. Any nation not adopting the Uzhgorod Mean Time as standard is clearly an ennemy of the great nation of Ukraine.

Ukrainians, by trying hard to separate themselves from the soviet past, sound more and more soviet. The failures of the soviet union were spun as a result of evil capitalist intervention. Now the ukrainians put the blame of their own failiures on the russians. This works till the collapse of the system. And a system collapses when it is bankrupt.

What is the difference between Nigeria and Ukraine? (both resource-rich failed countries). Nigerians don\'t WHINE all the time.

What\'s the difference between a Russian (Mike2) and an asshole?

Nothing, but the lattter serves a purpose

Friends,

Let me suggest that this whole thing might well conclude in war. There might be a situation where the Russian armed forces will invade Ukraine in order to \\\'protect\\\' the pipelines. They might just station themselves around all the strategic places around the pipelines in order to control them. This might be where this whole situation is leading to.

Good, that\'s what happens when you steal gas.
gneek    (Guest) | 14.01.2009, 06:44
Is that what you call transporting gas using that same very gas instead of your limited reserves that your country needs to survive?

Nice.
FromUSAwithLove    (Guest) | 14.01.2009, 06:30
And many in Ukraine and may be even in Europe my welcome that.
Guest    (Guest) | 14.01.2009, 07:12
Most Ukrainians want to be part of Russia.
Guest    (Guest) | 14.01.2009, 10:45
I agree
Mike2    (Guest) | 14.01.2009, 15:11
The starving Ukrainian citizens will open the border to the russian soldier in the hope of getting a loaf of bread. Looks like there will be no more Ukraine, Russians will simply enter ex-ukraine.

Official facts: One of the russians main plan was demolate relations between Ukrain , NATO counsil and the EU. Whatever it would take... But price redused itself. In case of mindweekness of Yschenco and other responsible for gas supplies, this round was lost.

Ukrainian-EU integration Score: Ukrain 0:1 Russia
Guest    (Guest) | 14.01.2009, 01:33
I think Ukrain made two steps back in European integration program. That\'s sad ,(
Guest    (Guest) | 14.01.2009, 00:00
Ukraine is stealing, EU monitors confirm that they are to blame. Check any source even bbc says its ukraine.
gneek    (Guest) | 14.01.2009, 06:47
You really think Ukraine would be stealing gas after all of this?
You have to be insane to believe that.
Guest    (Guest) | 13.01.2009, 17:16
I see. The gas for EU was pumped into wrong for Ukraine pipe. To the one where further siphoning is impossible with the monitors in place. I see the logic. What else is new?

So unless the pipe goes through my \'kum\'s\" backyard where his hands (not the \"kum\") can siphon out some gas - it\'s the wrong pipe. Try to explain this to Europe
elmer    (Guest) | 13.01.2009, 16:57
Ah, the little sovok rooskie weasels are out in full force, with propaganda all shined up and polished.

They send the gas down the wrong pipeline - shipping gas is not a cab ride, but little stupid sovok rooskies don\'t know and don\'t care.

The thing here is to squeal and squeal, and point accusatory fingers - and EU still doesn\'t get the gas.

I\'ve got a huge secret for you little sovok rooskies - NOONE BELIEVES YOU EXCEPT THE MORONS IN ROOSHA, WHO ARE CONSTANTLY FED A DIET OF PUTIE-PUT\'S LIES.

All of your \"beautiful\" lies - wasted, because stupid little rooskie sovoks don\'t know and don\'t care that noone believes them.

The rooskie gamesmanship here is just beyond all bounds of human decency.

But then, little rooskies sovoks don\'t care about being human beings.
M.Bunnylin    (Guest) | 13.01.2009, 21:06
Please cease using derogative terms such as \"rooskie sovok.\" This makes you sound like one yourself.
Mr. S    (Guest) | 14.01.2009, 01:37
Elmer, I don\'t know who you are or where from you are, but say me please what russians did to you or at least that you blame and curse them for problems those probably didn\'t even effected you...?... I hope...
FromUSAwithLove    (Guest) | 14.01.2009, 06:27
elmer\'s opinions based on delusion. I bet his Nazi papa told him about \"sovoks\".
Guest    (Guest) | 14.01.2009, 09:54
I think \"elmer\" is the internet name of Mr. Yushenko or his son )))
Guest    (Guest) | 13.01.2009, 16:24
Correct me, if I am wrong, but isn\'t this delivery ment for the EU and _not_ Ukrainian consumers? It should transit straight through the Ukrainian territory, bypassing domestic consumers (there is no contract for these deliveries yet), to the western border and to Europe in 100% of the volume.

Mr. Sokolovky, a.k.a. \"The-tamer-of-the Bear\", did not mention any other obstacles for transit to EU, other than Ukraine can\'t divert this gas (ment to EU) to domestic consumers. And so, Ukraine blocked the EU transit again.

That confirms the Gazprom\'s allegations that UA was siphoning gas destined to EU for its own needs. Thank you, Mr. Sokolovsky. What\'s next?

The UA gov needs to resign now.
Guest    (Guest) | 13.01.2009, 16:28
Imbecile!
The pipes which supply domestic designations bring gas FROM ukraines OWN storage facilites.
Russia is NOT sending gas through the normal 2 major pipelines, but is now attempting to send it through a third which connects with ukraines internal system.

Ukraine is NOT stealing. Russian propoganda is feasting on ignorance like YOURS.
redfyre    (Guest) | 13.01.2009, 16:34
AMEN! Russia is a screw up. Wish everyone would quit trying to blame Ukraine for everything and OPEN their eyes to what russia is doing. But your answer is right on. BTW, from what i understand. the EU monitors are on the ground and understand what russia is trying to pull!
Guest    (Guest) | 13.01.2009, 16:43
Hey moron, how come Bielarus,Poland and other transit countries don\'t have those problems?
gneek    (Guest) | 14.01.2009, 06:51
What!?
Guest    (Guest) | 14.01.2009, 14:57
Up to moron now? wow! Your mommy is impressed!
Belarus is a splat of a bug in comparison size to ukraine. Ukraine has 4 massive transit lines.
Belarus? 1.

Who is the moron? Got a mirror nearby?
Guest    (Guest) | 13.01.2009, 16:43
Compose yourself, sir!
Thieves are squalling loudly when caught.

Naftogaz acts as a petty cab driver who agrees to be paid by the meter, but insist that he will choose the route (the longest one).

I think UA gov. is so demoralized by the dirty infighting, that they are no longer capable of functioning outside their own corrupt system, just like Putin said.

That is why there is nothing left to hope for. Yushchenko needs to resign. Now!
gneek    (Guest) | 14.01.2009, 06:53
Do you not realize that \'situation\' is even more corrupt in Russia? Far more so than in Ukraine.
And do you plan to continue on believing everything that Putin says?
I know the guy is persuasive, but look at the fact, please before you conclude that Putin is telling the truth.
Guest    (Guest) | 13.01.2009, 16:58
Ukraine is not steeling gas? Excuse me...... of course they do! It\'s the nature of the orange guys!
Guest    (Guest) | 13.01.2009, 17:59
After listing to all the bs today of who did what to gas and why it\'s still not getting to Europe, my solution is make to the UA openly state where they want Russia to ship gas to. If it still doesn\'t get to Europe, everyone will know who is at fault. If Russia can\'t do, they have to explain why and stop blaming UA for what is going on. This whole mess is totally idiotic meanwhile people in Europe are freezing.
Guest    (Guest) | 13.01.2009, 21:28
With all due respect, EU deliveries is one important objective, but gas theft is another. I can see the connection between the two. Don\'t you?
Guest    (Guest) | 14.01.2009, 02:30
Do any of you really understand how the gas delivery system works? It is not the same as turning on a water hose and expecting water out the other end quickly.

You cannot send this gas through any pipeline at any time in any direction and expect results.

Gasprom must know this. This is a deliberate attempt by Russia to again put Ukraine in a poor light.

If the European monitors do their job and know what they are doing, this should all come out in the next few days.
