A Ukrainian official stated that Ukraine "will guarantee transit, but not supplies, of natural gas" to Central European customers using its pipeline network. Slovakia's Pravda interviewed Ukrainian Foreign Minister Volodymyr Khandogiy Thursday. When asked about the possibilities of disruptions in Central Europe's gas supplies similar to those last January, Khandogiy replied that questions regarding guarantees of supply from Gazprom should first be addressed to Russia.
