Where in Kyiv to kick off the New Year If you’re planning to spend New Year’s Eve with family, or have already booked a trip to a Carpathian resort or a sunny beach, then you certainly don’t need my advice. If, however, you’re staying in Kyiv for the holidays and are still unsure where to celebrate, here are a few suggestions. Luckily there are quite a few New Year’s bashes in the capital. Depending on what food and music you like, and how much you’re willing to spend, you can easily find something suitable for you and your noisy company of friends. Also, beware that the price of Hr 300-500 is frequently just an admission fee and will include only modest food portions and perhaps some alcohol. The more expensive tickets are likely to offer you a proper holiday menu, but it’s best to call them beforehand and confirm the details. Quite often, you will be asked to pre-pay half the price of a ticket or even cover an admission fee in full. All parties listed are scheduled for Dec. 31 and start around 10 p.m.
