Bloomberg: Crude oil falls Crude oil futures fell after a U.S. government report showed a smaller-than-forecast decline in inventories. Supplies dropped 1.54 million barrels to 326 million in the week ended Dec. 25, the Energy Department said today in a report. Inventories were expected to decline by 1.85 million barrels, according to the median of 14 analyst estimates in a Bloomberg News survey.

Steel Guru: Ukraine car market could grow 20% to 30% in 2010 It is reported that the Ukrainian market for new cars in 2010 could either remain at this year level or fall by about 5% under the current legal conditions. Mr Oleh Nazarenko director general of the All-Ukrainian Association of Automobile Importers and Dealers said "I suppose car sales could be at the 2009 level next year under the condition that no laws that could break the market are adopted. Tariff deal clears Russian oil shipments to Yuzhny MOSCOW, Dec 30 (Reuters) - Russia will export oil via the Ukrainian Black Sea port of Yuzhny without interruption next year, reversing a plan to scrap January shipments, after Moscow agreed to pay higher transit fees for deliveries via Ukraine. The deal, signed late on Monday, averts the threat of oil supply disruptions to Europe. Russian oil pipeline monopoly Transneftwill supply 1.5 million tonnes of crude every quarter in 2010 to Yuzhny, spokesman Igor Dyomin said.

UDPATE: Ukraine says Russia agrees to oil transit tariff rise Ukraine's state energy firm, Naftogaz, said on Tuesday Russia had agreed to a 30 percent increase in the transit tariff for the oil it transports to Europe.

Russia said on Monday it had agreed terms for a new oil deal with Ukraine a few hours after spooking Europe with a warning the continent could face oil supply cuts because of a dispute between Moscow and Kiev.
