Kyiv Post classic editorial: Banana republic On March 11, 2009, the Kyiv Post published this editorial pointing out the obvious and potentially damaging conflict of interest that exists by putting a billionaire with business interests and partnerships with other billionaires in charge of Ukraine’s SBU spy agency. More than one year later, the concerns expressed in this editorial have shown themselves to have been valid, particularly in light of the recent free media interference allegations against SBU chief Valery Khoroshkovsky.
