Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has instructed the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry to draft and implement within six months a program to inform businessmen from Ukraine's partner countries about the investment climate and opportunities in the country.

"I instruct the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to urgently draft and implement within six months an ambitious program to inform businessmen from partner countries about the investment climate and opportunities in Ukraine," he said in Kyiv on Thursday, while opening a government meeting.

Azarov said that an element of this program should be the creation of Ukraine’s image as a "safe investment harbor and a European cultural and tourist center."

He also stressed that the need to assist bilateral business councils and facilitate their establishment in those countries in which they do not yet exist. Azarov instructed the Finance Ministry, the State Tax Administration, and the State Customs Service to implement a special communication partner program for investors who are already working in the country in order to promote their businesses.
