You're reading: President appoints Kuzmin as first deputy head of Antimonopoly Committee

Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has signed a decree appointing Rafael Kuzmin as first deputy head of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU).

Rafael Kuzmin, a cousin of Ukrainian First Deputy Prosecutor General Renat Kuzmin, earlier served as deputy head of the committee.

The committee’s press service told Interfax-Ukraine that the committee’s first deputy head, Yuriy Kravchenko, would stay in office, because there are two posts of first deputy head in the AMCU. Consequently, Kuzmin took up the vacant post, which Mykola Lysytsky left for health reasons several months ago.
