Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has ordered to establish an ad hoc group composed of car industry experts and government representatives in order to ensure proper conditions for the development of the domestic car industry.

After visiting Eurocar, a private joint-stock company producing Skoda cars in Ukraine, in Zakarpattia region on Thursday, Yanukovych told journalists that such conditions haven’t been created yet, the president’s press service reported.

"We need to work a bit more on a new legislative framework, and on the implementation of the existing one," the president said.

According to him, the ad hoc group will work through almost all the issues at both local and central level.

Yanukovych praised the operation of Eurocar: "I am pleased that jobs have been created, and stable wages are paid."

Meanwhile, the president said that the problem of VAT refund is still open.

"The problem of the VAT refund is being currently solved. It will be paid on time," the head of state said.

Eurocar (Solomonove, Zakarpattia region) is the official producer of Skoda, Volkswagen, Audi, and Seat cars in Ukraine.

Eurocar is part of the Atoll Holding Group, one of the leading car market players in Ukraine.
