Forty percent of retail trade in Ukraine is in the shadow, the Economic Development and Trade Ministry has reported, after analyzing the data of the official trade and the costs of the public on the purchase of goods and services. Director of the Department of Internal Trade at the Economic Development and Trade Ministry Serhiy Lytvynenko said that the public had spent Hr 838.2 billion on the purchase of goods and services last year, including Hr 549 billion on food (Hr 7.97 / USD 1).
