The owners of the following hotels – Kyiv-based International-Business Center LLC, Kharkiv-based FKM-4 LLC, Ukraine-Donetsk Hotel LLC, Project 2012 LLC (both based in Donetsk) and closed joint-stock company Truskavetskurort (Truskavets, Lviv region), will obtain partial refunding of interest rates on credits issued by banks to build, reconstruct and re-equip hotels as a part of preparations for hosting final matches of the Euro 2012 European football championship in Ukraine.
The Uriadovy Kurier newspaper said on September 30 that the decision was made by a tender commission on September 21, 2011.
The National Agency on Preparations for and Holding the Euro 2012 European Football Championship Finals in Ukraine and the Realization of Infrastructure Projects was the organizer of the tender.
In addition, the national agency announced another similar tender has been scheduled for November 9, 2011. Bids can be submitted from October 3 to October 24, 2011.
As reported, referring to Kyiv council, in 2008 International-Business Center bought a land plot of 0.47 hectares at 28/30 Shevchenko Avenue in Kyiv for UAH 21.27 million to build a 24-storey hotel complex with apartments, with the operator of the hotel being Hilton Hotels Corporation.
According to Kharkiv media reports, FKM-4 LLC bought land plots to build the Kharkiv Palace five-star 180-room hotel on the main square in Kharkiv – Svobody Square. Kyiv-based Premier International LCC, which manages luxury hotels under the Premier Hotels brand, will manage the hotel. The investor in the hotel is president of Kharkiv-based DCH Group and coordinator of Kharkiv’s preparations for Euro 2012, Oleksandr Yaroslavsky.
Project 2012 LLC, part of ESTA Group, which was created by CJSC System Capital Management (SCM, Donetsk) to realize projects in the real estate area, in May 2010 finalized a deal on the acquisition of property of the Kyiv Hotel at 4, Pushkin Avenue in Donetsk. The three-star hotel of 5,666 square meters and with 69 rooms is located on a land plot of 0.4681 hectares. The hotel is being reconstructed.
Ukraine-Donetsk Hotel LLC is affiliated with an MP from the Regions Party, Oleksandr Leschynsky. It is located in downtown Donetsk.
Closed joint-stock company Truskavetskurort is one of the largest resorts in Ukraine and unites seven boarding houses (Kashtan, Berizka, visna, Krystal, Almaz, Rubin and Yantar), a complex of villas, 19 wells with mineral water, a palace of culture, several restaurants and five medical centers.
In autumn 2010, Truskavetskurort reported that it plans to raise a UAH 800 million credit to finish the construction of the Kashtan four-star hotel and the reconstruction of three-star Krystal and Almaz hotels, the Raiduha restaurant and the building of the BOL-2 balneal center in Truskavets.
According to the State Commission for Securities and the Stock Market, the key shareholder of the company is PolyInvestGroup (Kyiv) with a 99.68% stake.
