The second International Black Sea Economic Forum opened at the Livadia Palace in Yalta on Friday.

The event is being held under the patronage of Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych.

According to the main department of information policy of the Crimean Council of Ministers, the forum is being attended by Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister and Infrastructure Minister Borys Kolesnikov, First Deputy Chairman of the Crimean Council of Ministers Pavlo Burlakov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Crimea Kateryna Yurchenko, President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine Jorge Zukoski, Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine Jose Manuel Pinto Teixeira, UN Resident Coordinator in Ukraine Olivier Adam, politicians and businessmen from the EU countries, and the governors of the Ukrainian regions.

While welcoming the participants of the forum, Burlakov said that they would have to discuss many problems in the development of the Black Sea basin countries that should take their rightful place in Europe.
