The power unit number two at Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant was connected to power after the malfunction was rectified on Sunday, the NPP said in a statement.
"It is getting back to full capacity," the statement said.
At the moment, five power units are running.
The power unit number five is on routine maintenance (due to be completed on Dec. 25, 2011).
Background radiation on the industrial site and in the sanitary protection zone corresponds to natural levels in the area around the Zaporizhia NPP.
It was reported that the Zaporizhia NPP shut down its power unit N2 on Saturday due to a failure of its automatic system circuit.
