MOSCOW - Negotiations between Russia and Ukraine on gas supplies are continuing, and comments on their results will be made after the relevant documents are signed, Dmitry Peskov, the spokesman for the Russian prime minister, told Interfax on Wednesday.

"The Russian government presumes that the negotiations are continuing. The signing of new documents will mean finalization of agreements," Peskov said.

"As long as this has not happened, we deem it premature to say anything," Peskov said.

A Ukrainian government source told Interfax earlier that Kyiv and Moscow had agreed on a new price at which Ukraine would buy gas from Russia.
