The Ukrainian cabinet plans to revise its decision on setting ceiling prices for some medicines and medical products.

"The resolution [on the ceiling prices of medicine] will be cancelled, and indicative prices that are in line with wholesale prices of producers outside Ukraine will be proposed," Ukrainian Premier Yulia Tymoshenko said at a briefing on Monday.

As reported, earlier the cabinet set ceiling prices of some medicines and medical products.

According to the document, the retail price of gauze should be no more than UAH 2, that for masks – UAH 1.50, that for a pair of medical gloves – UAH 1 and that for a 5-milliliter syringe – 70 kopecks.

The retail price of Amixin (0.125 milligram pills) should be no more than UAH 55, that for Tamiflu (75-milligram capsules) – UAH 348.50, Azithromycin (0.5 gram pills) – UAH 29.45, Amizonum (0.25 gram pills) UAH 15, Ampicillinum (0.25 gram pills) UAH 9, Arbidolum (0.1 gram pills) – UAH 45, ascorbic acid (0.5 gram pills) – UAH 8, Rimantadine (50 milligram pills) – UAH 8.50, and Unguentum Oxolini (10 gram tube) – UAH 8.50.
