LONDON (AP) — Anglo-Russian oil company TNK-BP has appointed Maxim Barsky as its next chief executive, to take over in 2011, the company's owners said Nov. 19.

BP PLC and AAR, the consortium of Russian shareholders, said Mikhail Fridman would continue as chief executive in the meantime.

Barsky joined TNK-BP in June as executive vice president strategy and business development.

Previously he was managing director and a member of the board of directors of West Siberian Resources, an independent oil and gas company.
