Yanukovych to disclose international audit results on situation in Ukrainian
Mar 10, 2010 at 12:17 | Interfax-Ukraine"I will certainly disclose the international audit results on the situation in the country. I expect they will, to put it mildly, not please us," he said during the Shevchenko prize awarding ceremony in Kaniv on Mar. 9.
The president said that his main task for today is to stabilize the political situation in Ukraine. He said that the economic situation would stabilize as a consequence of this.
He said that the formation of a professional government would result in economic growth.
"To make these positive changes in our country's life come true we need to form a professional government, which will tackle the problems that have accumulated in the country 24 hours a day. We will do this in the near future," said Yanukovych.
The president also said that Ukraine has significantly fallen behind its neighbors in terms of the social standards over the last two years. He held up Russia as a model, where the authorities increased social payments four times during the crisis.
