The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) again purchased currency at a rate of UAH 7.9800 per U.S. dollar on Wednesday.
The hryvnia on Ukraine's interbank market has weakened by 0.06%, from UAH 7.975 per U.S. dollar, since the beginning of the year.
As Erste Bank's press service told Interfax-Ukraine on Wednesday, its analysts predict a slight weakening of the national currency in 2010 against the backdrop of an expected issue of hryvnias to refinance banks and bridge the national budget gap.
