Candidate for the post of premier Mykola Azarov has said that he is sure that this year the situation in Ukraine will stabilize.

"We expect that in 2010 we'll stabilize the situation in the country. 2010 will be a year of stabilization," he said speaking in the parliament after President Viktor Yanukovych nominated him to the premier post.

Azarov said that Ukraine should be ready for a possible resurgence of the crisis. Referring to experts, he said that a second wave was expected in 2012.

The politician said that 2012 would be a turning point for reform in Ukraine. He said that reforms should be well prepared.

"We'll realize [reforms] when the country is ready for their realization," he said.

He said that if the premier does not take bribes, it would be easy to fight corruption.
