Lviv, March 17 (Interfax-Ukraine) - An investor in the construction of a terminal at Lviv airport is unlikely to be found soon, according to Borys Kolesnikov, the vice premier for Ukraine's preparations for hosting the finals of the Euro 2012 European Football Championship.

"I want to say that we won't find an investor for Lviv airport soon. It is a state task to create conditions for Lviv to attract investment," he said at a press conference in Lviv.

In addition, Kolesnikov said that part of a highway from the state border to Lviv, the construction of which was planned on a concession basis, would be constructed using state funds.

"Concessioners have no money, and we won't wait [for them]," he said.

The vice premier said that "it is necessary to reconstruct the historic part of Lviv, create new tourism routes, construct a new runway at the airport" using state funds and then "ask why the national budget should subsidize you."

"Until we create a financial model for Lviv, through which it will be able to finance itself, no investors will come to the region," Kolesnikov said.
