The hryvnia on Ukraine’s interbank forex market strengthened to UAH 7.9350 per U.S. dollar on Monday, from UAH 7.9575 per U.S. dollar as of the end of Friday’s trading.
Quotations were between UAH 7.9300-7.9400 per U.S. dollar at the end of trading on Monday, market operators told Interfax-Ukraine.
The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) strengthened the foreign currency buying rate on the interbank market to UAH 7.9500 per U.S. dollar on Monday from UAH 7.9602 per U.S. dollar as of Friday.
As was reported, March 1 through March 19 the NBU bought $892 million on the interbank market.
The hryvnia on Ukraine’s interbank market has strengthened by 0.5%, from UAH 7.975 per U.S. dollar, since the beginning of the year.
