You're reading: NBU appoints Onischenko temporary administrator of Rodovid Bank in place of Scherbyna

The National Bank of Ukraine by its decree No233 of May 12 appointed Mykola Onischenko as temporary administrator of Rodovid Bank (Kyiv), one of the largest banks in Ukraine, to replace Serhii Scherbyna.

Rodovid Bank announced this in a statement.

Onischenko earlier was vice-president at the Nadra bank.

He owns no shares in Rodovid Bank.

In late June 2009, the National Bank dismissed Viktor Kravets from the post of the temporary administrator of Rodovid Bank, and appointed Scherbyna to replace him.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, as of April 1, assets of Rodovid Bank made up UAH 12,795.3 million, loans and customers’ liabilities UAH 5,380.9 million, equity capital UAH 2,043.0 million.

The financial institution incurred losses of UAH 3,186.664 million in January-March, and of UAH 4,215.998 million in 2009.

The state owns 99.97% of the shares in Rodovid Bank, which is a public joint-stock bank, as a result of the recapitalization.
