Cabinet stimulates Ukrainian electricity exports to Moldova
Jul 29, 2010 at 11:06 | Interfax-UkraineThis is stipulated in a decree No. 1507-r, dated July 21, 2010, posted on the official Web site of the Cabinet.
The government also charged the Kyiv-based state-run enterprise Enerhrynok with signing a deal with electricity suppliers on the purchase and sale of electricity on the wholesale electricity market of Ukraine for its further export to Moldova.
According to the amendments to the Law "On Electric Energy" approved by the Verkhovna Rada in 2009, electricity for export from Ukraine should be bought at wholesale market price, and access to power transmission lines for exports is to be awarded at auctions.
Since June 2009, Ukraine has exported electricity to Belarus at the wholesale market price.
According to the Enerhrynok Company the share of subsidized certificates in the structure of the wholesale market price of electricity was 28% or UAH 18 billion, as of 2009. In June 2010 this figure was UAH 1.76 billion.
