The Roshen Confectionary Corporation, one of the largest confectionary producers in Ukraine, plans to invest EUR 8 million, including EUR 3.2 million in 2010, in its Klaipeda confectionery factory (Lithuania).

These assets will be directed at purchase and installation of new improved equipment for caramel production and at the improvement of the factory's power supply system.

It is assumed that after the modernization, the output capacity of the Klaipeda confectionery factory will rise to 1,290 tonnes of products per month.

The corporation expects that confectionary products produced by the Lithuanian factory will go on sale on the European markets in March 2011.
