The Ukrainian government has said that it is not good to restrict grain exports, according to Vice Premier for Agriculture Viktor Slauta.

"We don’t have grounds to restrict grain exports. We’re not in the same position as our neighbors, [who have had] abnormal weather," he told the press before a cabinet meeting on Wednesday.

He said that the grain harvest in Ukraine is expected at 42-43 million tonnes, including 18 tonnes of wheat.

Slauta said that thanks to the sunny weather, the share of bread wheat is 60-65%.
