You're reading: Committee for economic reforms to consider issue of deregulation in September

Problems of deregulation will be the main topic on the agenda of the committee for economic reforms headed by Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych in the middle of this September, First Deputy Presidential Administration Head Iryna Akimova told reporters in Kyiv on Wednesday.

Akimova said that the president wants "not only a picture of positive achievements to be presented at this meeting, but also that the remaining problems on the way to deregulation be considered, as well as the issue of responsibilities."

According to the deputy presidential administration head, checks on paid administrative services are being held. At present a draft law on administrative services is being drawn up with the assistance of international experts, she added.

Akimova also said that the issue of reform of the agencies of state power would be considered in detail in autumn when a working group headed by Justice Minister Oleksandr Lavrynovych will submit its findings.

As reported, in the scope of cooperation with the International Monterey Fund the government of Ukraine intends to draw up a plan of national administrative reform by March 2011 to improve the efficiency of expenditure in terms of rendering state services.
