A miner, born in 1977, was killed by a rock slide at the Komunarska Mine No 22, Donetsk region, managed by the OJSC Donbass mine office on the night of Friday.
According to the Trade Union of Coal Industry of Ukraine, the miner was struck by a rockslide after a roof support collapsed. He died instantaneously. According to preliminary data, he suffered a fracture of the skull base.
The details of the tragedy are being investigated by an ad hoc commission.
