The group Development Construction Holding (DCH) has opened a new terminal of the Kharkiv international airport.

Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

"I am pleased with the fact that in the case of Kharkiv the authorities and the business united to find a solution which was necessary for the sake of the country," said President Yanukovych.

The Ukrainian President said the opening of the airport's terminal is crucial for attracting foreign investment in the region to develop small and medium businesses in Ukraine and for the holding of the Euro 2012 European football championship finals.

The new terminal of the Kharkiv international airport is expected to receive first passengers on August 28.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, DCH is an integration association of enterprises representing different sectors of economy, which consolidates significant part of former UkrSib group assets.

Assets of the group are concentrated in industry, finances, construction, etc.

Businessman Oleksandr Yaroslavskyi is the beneficiary of the group.
