The joint Ukrainian-Kazakh construction of a terminal for handling liquefied natural gas (LNG) in Ukraine has been postponed for an indefinite term because of the financial problems of an investor, First Vice Premier Andriy Kliuyev has said.

"There was an investor from the side of Kazakhstan, but the [economic] crisis damaged his financial state," he said at a briefing dedicated to the joint Ukrainian-Kazakh interstate commission on economic cooperation.

The first vice premier noted that 28 out of 30 clauses of the agreement signed during the last meeting of the joint Ukrainian-Kazakh interstate commission on economic cooperation were fulfilled. One of the clauses is at the stage of realization, he said.
