You're reading: Ukrenergo to auction off electricity lines for November

National Energy Company Ukrenergo has announced an auction for access to Ukrainian interstate power lines for electricity exports for the period from November 1 to November 30, 2010.

According to a posting on Ukrenergo’s Web site, access to 2,160 MW of electricity to be exported in four directions is divided into 18 lots, which differ in terms of power transmission capacity.

In particular, 495 MW has been put up for sale in six lots for the export of electricity from the Burshtyn energy island to Slovakia, Hungary, and Romania.

Three lots of have the restriction that they cannot be supplied from the Burshtyn energy island to Romania in the period from November 6 to November 7, from November 13 to November 14 and from November 20 to November 21. Three lots of 245 MW do not have time restrictions.

Six lots grant access to export 450 MW of electricity to Moldova. Two lots of 150 MW can be supplied from November 6 to November 20.

Two lots of 215 MW can be supplied from the Dobrotvirska thermal power plant to Zamo
