Alfa-Bank (Kyiv) has opened a multi-currency credit line of UAH 790 million for Kernel Group, one of the largest Ukrainian operators on the sunflower oil market and grain exporters, according to the bank.

The credit line was opened for three years.

Public JSC Alfa-Bank (Kyiv Investment Bank prior to January 2001) was founded in 1993. Cyprus-registered АВН Ukraine Limited cut its stake in the bank to 80.1013% in July 2010, while Russia’s Alfa-Bank built up a 19.8986% stake in the bank.

Kernel produces sunflower oil, distributes bottled oil in Ukraine and exports oil and grain, as well as providing grain and oil crop storage services in elevators.
