Alexander Lebedev, the Russian owner of Britain's Independent and London Evening Standard newspapers, suffered another bruising blow to his business empire today after Ukrainian authorities carried out a raid on his luxury hotel in Ukraine. The incident occured days after Russian authorites raided his bank in Moscow. Lebedev suggested that the Ukraine raid occured upon the orders of Ukraine's President, Viktor Yanukovych. Lebedev suggested that Yanukovych ordered the raid because he was upset about negative coverage in his UK newspaper. Lebedev took a shot at Yanukovych, describing him as being 'not very educated.'
