You're reading: Three companies bid for rights to export Ukrainian electricity

Bids to take part in an auction scheduled to take place on Tuesday for access to Ukrainian interstate power lines for electricity exports in the period from December 1 to December 31, 2010 were submitted by DTEK's Skhidenergo Ltd. and Power-Trade Ltd., and CJSC Bila Tserkva Thermal Power Plant.

Ukrenergo told Interfax-Ukraine that Skhidenergo and Bila Tserkva Thermal Power Plant submitted bids to export electricity from the Burshtyn Energy Island to European power grids.

Skhidenergo filed a bid for all six lots (495 MW), while Bila Tserkva Thermal Power Plant submitted a bid for only one lot (100 MW).

The initial price of each lot was UAH 5,000.

Power-Trade submitted bids to export electricity to Moldova in a lot of 100 MW, for which the initial price was set at UAH 5,000.
