In 2010, Ukraine's construction activity registered a 5.4 percent drop to Hr 43.2 billion ($5.4 billion) compared to 2009, when the decrease was almost double compared to 2008. Accordingly, in 2010, Ukraine saw a decrease in all major types of construction activity, excepting preparatory work for construction sites, where growth amounted to five percent year on year to Hr 2.07 billion ($260 million).
