Clemens Schlotter

Clemens Schlotter became a partner and head of the German desk at the Moscow office of Magisters, a leading C.I.S.-based law firm founded and headquartered in Kyiv. The newly-established German desk will focus on providing legal advice to companies from Germany, Austria and Switzerland with interests in Russia and the CIS region. Before joining Magisters, Schlotter specialized in mergers and acquisitions, and corporate law as a partner with Beiten Burkhardt in Moscow. He has supported a wide range of transactions, including the investment of a German state bank into a business center in Moscow, as well as the purchase of a Russian mechanical engineering company by a German listed company. Clemens has particular experience in representing foreign investors in merger and acquisition transactions, real estate acquisitions, as well as setting up and operating joint ventures with Russian partners.
