Kyiv, November 26 (Interfax-Ukraine) - National Joint Stock Company Naftogaz Ukrainy is facing difficulties in buying foreign currency to pay for imported gas, Naftogaz Ukrainy Head Oleh Dubyna said at a briefing on Wednesday.

"Yesterday, we placed aroundHr 600 million on the exchange and the currency wasn't bought," he said.

According to Dubyna, the purchase of foreign currency to pay for imported gas will be an issue in the talks between the Naftogaz Ukrainy and the National Bank of Ukraine.

At the same time, he noted that earlier the currency exchange rate for gas payments wasHr 5.05/$1 and the jump in the exchange rate is complicating the company's payments.
