Dnipropetrovsk, December 29 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The deputies of Dnipropetrovsk city council at their meeting decided to pass Dnipropetrovsk Metropoliten to communal ownership.

The deputies are ready to accept completed metro stations to communal ownership on two conditions: if a working commission, which will study the technical conditions of Dnipropetrovsk Metropoliten in detail, is created, and if money, allocated from the national budget, is kept in the city budget.

As reported, Viktor Sergeyev, the deputy board chairman of Dnipropetrovsk regional state administration, at one of the meetings of the regional commission on the issues of industrial and ecological safety and emergencies said that UAH 1.315 million were needed to perform capital repair of Dnipropetrovsk Metropoliten and buy rolling-stock and equipment for it.

Currently the length of Dnipropetrovsk Metropoliten is about 8 kilometers. It includes six stations.

There are metros in four cities in Ukraine: Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk. In Donetsk the metro is being constructed.
