Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko says there will be neither a default nor a delay in payment for gas while she heads the government.

"Ukraine will no way face a default while I'm prime minister. While I'm prime minister, NJSC Naftogaz will pay for gas in time, despite the fact that the mayors that belong to the Party of Regions have caused a blockage and do not pay a kopeck for gas. Today the debts amount to UAH 26 billion... Wages and salaries will be paid in time while I'm prime minister," she said in the air of the ICTV on Monday evening.
