Chinese top official visits Antonov Design Bureau
July 03 at 19:49 | Interfax-UkraineThe Chinese guest was introduced to programs to develop modern airplanes that could be used in China, in particular the new An-148 regional jet, the An-74 multipurpose aircraft, the An-70 military and transport aircraft and the An-124-100M-150 modernized heavy transport aircraft, the Antonov Design Bureau's press service told Interfax-Ukraine.
During the Le Bourget 2009 international air show held outside Paris in June, the China Aviation Industry Corporation (AVIC) confirmed its interest in continuing cooperation with the Ukrainian developer within both existing and new programs.
Today, Antonov Design Bureau is studying the possibilities of developing cooperation with China's aviation industry, including in projects initiated by AVIC-I on the development of a new Chinese transport aircraft. The partners signed the memorandum of intent on cooperation for the development of China's new regional turboprop aircraft designed for 70 passengers - the MA700.
