Dnipropetrovsk, July 3 (Interfax) - A high-ranking manager of Arcelor Mittal Kryviy Rih, a metallurgical giant located in the Dnipropetrovsk region, was hospitalized on Friday after being beaten by unidentified assailants.

Three people beat Oleksandr Zozulia, the Arcelor Mittal Kryviy Rih director for social and general affairs, with baseball bats on Friday morning, the Ukrainian Interior Ministry's department for the Dnipropetrovsk region told Interfax.

Zozulia sustained moderate injuries and was hospitalized.

The Kryvy Rih city police department opened a criminal case into the incident.

Zozulia asked the Kryvy Rih authorities and law enforcement bodies to investigate the crime impartially and protect Arcelor Mittal Kryviy Rih's employers and property.
