Editor's Note: The following is a press release issued by the International Women's Club of Kyiv.

The International Woman’s Club of Kyiv (IWCK) is pleased to announce the 2012 Charity Grant Competition. The grant competition will provide grants to Ukrainian NGOs working in or near Kyiv on projects supporting Ukrainian elderly, disabled, children, and woman.

This year IWCK approved a maximum grant award of Hr 300,000 per organization, up from Hr 200,000 last year. This increase is meant to encourage application for ambitious projects and encourage competing NGOs to develop long-term planning and sustainability.

Organizations interested in participating in the IWCK Grants Competition may request an application in English via email at [email protected] or download the application from the IWCK website at www.iwck.org. Enclosed with this letter are Guidelines and Criteria to help interested organizations complete the application.

All Applications must be submitted to IWCK by 15:00 on Friday, January 27, 2012. No exceptions will be made.

For organizations that have not received a grant from IWCK in previous years, an informational meeting outlining guidelines, criteria and proposal formats will be held on Friday, January 13, 2012. This meeting will take place at the IWCK office, Pushkinskaya Street 39, apartment 51. If your organization would like to send a representative to the meeting, please confirm attendance by January 6, 2012 at email [email protected].

IWCK staff/members will NOT be available to answer any questions regarding the Grant Competition other than at the information session.
