Kyiv, March 2 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has instructed Head of Kyiv City State Administration Oleksandr Popov and Kyiv region Governor Anatoliy Prysiazhniuk to take the necessary measures to preserve Bilychansky forest.

"The head of state voiced great concern at the uncontrolled cutting down of trees in parks. President Yanukovych stressed that Bilychansky forest is Kyiv region’s lungs, and it has to be preserved," the president’s press service said on Friday.
