Kyiv calls tender to study municipal passenger transportations

The study also should provide model of passenger traffic until 2015.
The study should be carried out in December.
The tender was called for December 2.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, the Kyiv municipal state administration decided to improve the public passenger transportation system after the 2008-2009 passenger traffic study is carried out.
The aim of the study is to define the future traffic pattern for municipal electric trains, and construction of the high-speed tram line.
The municipal transport carries approximately 4.7 million passengers annually.
The passenger transportations in the Kyiv subway totals 2.2 million persons.
In 2004, the Kyiv municipal state administration agreed with the Kyiv National Transport University to study the city passenger traffic to improve the public passenger transport system.
