Kyivskiy Metropoliten selling combined long-term travel cards

The Kyivskiy Metropoliten municipal enterprise has started selling long-term traffic cards for subway and surface transport as of Thursday, the enterprise's press-release reports.



"On November 20 all booking offices of the Kyivskiy Metropoliten have started selling combined traffic cards," the press-release said.

Travel cards are assigned for 12 months, that is as of December 1, 2008 to November 30, 2009 regardless the date of purchase.

The yearly subway travel card costsHr 365 plus 7 hryvnias as the refund value of a no-contact card.

A travel card for two means of transport, one of which is subway, costsHr 575, for four -Hr 799.

As Ukrainian News reported, the Kyivskiy Metropoliten municipal enterprise has started selling yearly long-term travel cards since November 11.

The Kyiv city state administration has increased passenger fares in public surface transport and subway by 3 and 4 times toHr 1.5 -Hr 2 per one trip since November 4.

The municipal administration also set the cost of monthly, quarterly and yearly travel cards atHr 60 -Hr 799, respective of the term.

A yearly travel card costsHr 0.5 per one trip, and is valid until December 31, 2009 regardless of the date of purchase.

Besides, the administration decided to introduce travel cards for 12 months valid within December 1, 2008 - November 30, 2009.
