November 20, 2008 at 13:16 | Interfax-UkraineThe decree on the cancellation of these decisions was signed on November 20 and posted on the official Web site of the Ukrainian president.
"According to the head of state, the abovementioned documents violate the constitution and Ukrainian law. In particular, the head of the Kyiv city state administration ignored the requirements of the law on housing and municipal services by raising rates, providing no information on their economic justification and their structure. The rates in some cases exceed by ten times the permissible level approved by the state inspectorate on prices," presidential press secretary Iryna Vannykova said at a briefing on Thursday.
