Kyiv, November 20 (Interfax-Ukraine) - Ukrainian President Viktor Yuschenko has cancelled three orders given by the chairman of the Kyiv city state administration on October 30, 3008, regarding rises in rates for heat supply, water supply and the sewage system.

The decree on the cancellation of these decisions was signed on November 20 and posted on the official Web site of the Ukrainian president.

"According to the head of state, the abovementioned documents violate the constitution and Ukrainian law. In particular, the head of the Kyiv city state administration ignored the requirements of the law on housing and municipal services by raising rates, providing no information on their economic justification and their structure. The rates in some cases exceed by ten times the permissible level approved by the state inspectorate on prices," presidential press secretary Iryna Vannykova said at a briefing on Thursday.
